Have you or your business ever been “tagged”on Facebook or “mentioned”on Twitter?
When you “tag”or “mention”someone on a social network, you are giving them a little nod of approval. Your network can click on that person to find more about their product or services. Cool huh! It’s a great way to promote others.
Here’s how you can tag someone:
Facebook (note:you need to be connected to the person or business you’d like to tag)
- Begin typing your message.
- When you get to the spot you’d like to mention them, type “@”followed directly with the beginning of the name of the person/business (no space).
- You’ll see a list of people appear.
- Select the appropriate person from the list.
- Continue your post as usual.
- When you click “share”there will be a link to the person/business’s name.
- Begin typing your message.
- When you get to the spot where you’d like to mention them, type “@”followed directly with their username (no space)
- When you hit enter, there will be a link to the person’s profile.
Hope that helps!

A great and simple reminder Jen. I know how to do all of the above, but often forget. It’s those little courtesies that are fun to offer and come back to us in great ways, thanks!
Your right Billy. It’s amazing how a small thing like tagging can help another person or business. Like you said it is fun to do and does come back to us always, but maybe not in the way we expect.
